4. Registration for End Users

There are 2 ways for an End User to register:

1.) Mobile App

2.) Web Registration

Mobile App:

  1. Go to Apple App Store or Android Play
  2. Search for and download Voyent Alert! mobile App
  3. Enter in Postal Code when requested.

For the training environment the end user should search for VA Alert in the apps stores. The icon will have a green background.

1) Open app and type in postal code, or click on Find on Map and enter your home address.

2) Press the YES button to agree to subscribe to Voyent Alert notifications for your region.

3) Click the checkboxes to agree to the terms.

4) Press the SEND NOTIFICATION button. A Voyent Alert notification will be sent to the device. Tap the notification to complete the registration procedure. The app will open.

5) Once the app has opened, view the 2 tabs at the bottom. The left tab is the Notifications Received tab, the right tab is the My Locations tab. Click on the My Locations tab.

6) Follow the onscreen instructions. When registering via postal code, the home pin is initially dropped in the middle of the postal code region. Users must drag their home pin to their actual home location.  Once the home pin is set more location pins can be added, for example, child’s school or grandparents house. Up to 10 pins can be added for various locations the user wants to monitor.

Web Registration:

Email and SMS registrants must navigate to:

(Training) https://demo.voyent-alert.com/vras/register.html

or (Live) https://ca.voyent-alert.com/vras/register.html

The web registration view is very similar to the mobile app. Follow steps 1 through 3 as above.

After registration is complete you will be presented with the End User Welcome page.

Tapping on Notifications in the right hand corner will bring up the Notifications view. From this view you can see Active or Ended notifications.

Tapping on My Locations in the right hand corner will bring up the My Locations view.
